As the year draws to a close, I wanted to pause - not to slow momentum, but to honor meaning.

Eagle Summit 66 reminded us that growth is not just about what we build, but who we become and who we walk alongside. Christmas gives us a sacred invitation to remember the deeper why behind leadership, service, and connection—the quiet arrival of hope, love lived out in action, and faith that shows up in how we treat one another.

This poem is offered as a reflection, a reminder, and a blessing—for you, your family, and the community we are building together. May it ground you, encourage you, and carry you forward as we prepare for an impactful year ahead.

An Eagle Christmas Wish

(In the spirit of Dr. Tom Hill)

At Christmas, we pause—if only a while—
To breathe, to remember, to soften our stride.
Beyond all the noise and the year’s hurried pace,
We return to the heart… to the reason, the grace.

For this season reminds us, in humble, small ways,
Of a child born in love, of hope set ablaze.
Not power or status, not might nor command,
But God entering quietly, reaching His hand.

And leadership, too, is born in that place—
In choosing compassion, humility, grace.
In living our faith not just spoken, but shown,
In how we treat others, in seeds that we’ve sown.

The world doesn’t change through speeches or flair,
But through one life lived fully, one person who cares.
Through tables shared honestly, burdens made light,
Through choosing what’s loving, forgiving, and right.

At Eagle Summit, and all year long,
We are reminded where we belong—
Not walking alone, not striving apart,
But linked through connection, through service, through heart.

For growth is not meant to be traveled solo,
And strength is multiplied when shoulders are close.
We rise higher together than any could alone,
Encouraged, accountable, fully known.

So as lights gently glow and the year finds its close,
May gratitude shape you wherever you go.
May faith steady your steps, may purpose be clear,
May love guide your leadership into the new year.

Remember this truth, simple yet profound:
One idea well lived can turn lives around.
One person who believes can change someone’s way—
Just as love did that first Christmas Day.

From all of us Eagles—connected, inspired—
May your Christmas be peaceful, your spirit be fired.
And may the year ahead find you ready to soar,
Living a life of impact… in faith, hope, and more.
