Matt Shoup reminds us that our biggest obstacle isn’t the competition—it’s the beliefs we carry about ourselves. Our limiting beliefs are the stories we tell ourselves about what’s possible, but these stories are often based on past failures, fears, or the opinions of others. To truly unlock your potential, you must challenge these beliefs head-on. It’s not about waiting for the perfect moment, but about taking action in spite of the fear. When you dare to question the beliefs holding you back, you open the door to endless possibilities.

IMPLEMENTATION TIP:

1. Identify Your Limiting Beliefs: What beliefs are you holding onto that have been limiting your growth? Write them down and ask yourself if they are really true.

2. Challenge One Belief This Week: Choose one belief to break free from. Is it the fear of failure? The belief that you’re not capable of leading? Reframe it into a belief that empowers you.

3. Take Action in Alignment: Take one small action this week that directly contradicts your limiting belief. If you believe you’re not good enough to lead, start leading in small ways... whether it’s guiding a team, making a decision, or sharing your ideas.

Your growth starts with believing that you are capable—then backing that belief with action.
